This motorcycle has been extensively modified and was probably raced in it past. It has a custom-made aluminum fuel tank and crankcase breather box. The engine has a 778cc big bore kit, cams, headwork, larger carburetors and a Bimota factory "sr" exhaust. The wheels are 17" modular for enhanced handling performance and modern tire availability.

The DB4 is an excellent light weight, flickable supersport motorcycle as delivered by Bimota. It came with the Ducati 900SS 2-valve engine using CV carburetors. To improve its performance to match its handling, MotoPoint developed a performance kit that included Keihin flat-slide carburetors, properly jetted for the Moto Corse titanium slip-on silencer, K&N filters, and a new fuel tank to clear the carbs and filters. This kit makes a significant performance improvement.

2023 Bimota KB4

The Bimota KB4 is the latest motorcycle from the Bimota company under the ownership of Kawasaki Heavy Industries. This motorcycle features a typically (for Bimota) innovative chassis design - placing the cooling radiator under the passenger seat and placing the engine far forward. The creates a very short wheelbase and forward weight bias, resulting in fantastic handling. The engine is 1000cc and tuned for optimum street performance, good torque throughout the rev range (maximum 82 lb/ft) and 140 bhp. Front and rear suspension come from Ohlins, with an Ohlins steering dampener. The brakes are from Brembo and the wheels are from OZ Racing.

The bodywork is all carbon fiber, beautifully painted in Satin White and Deep Red Metallic.

As is now standard for all Bimota street motorcycles, the KB4 features a full electronics package - engine modes, traction control and ABS, sourced from Kawasaki for state of the art function, reliability and ease of use .

Vyrus actually produced the Tesi 2D for Bimota back in 2006 - and this 984 evo is the latest development of that platform, incorporating a structural carbon fiber airbox/front subframe similar to the Vyrus 985/7.
